Kevin Peyton is the ex-husband of Jackie Peyton and the father of Grace and Fiona Peyton. He is portrayed by Dominic Fumusa.
Biography[]
Kevin in the beginning of the series is a charming, naive and sweet husband to Jackie Peyton. Kevin is very attractive and extremely kind. Kevin is always putting himself second best to Jackie, being submissive to her and allowing her to call the shots.
Kevin had no idea that Jackie had a long term affair with Eddie Walzer.Kevin is the bar owner of Red Owl, which was recently remodeled close to the finale.
Kevin has one younger sister, Tunie Peyton, who features during the third season.
During season 3, things get hairy as Jackie disrespected Kevin by taking the money from Eleanor O'Hara for the girls tuition. Kevin begins to get suspicious, discovering pharmacy bills in the lockbox at Yuri's that Kevin didn't know exist.
Kevin blows up, stages an intervention with O'Hara and ends up being completely manipulated by Jackie into believing her addiction was mild. Jackie shows some real significant peak addiction behaviours - the ability to lie without worry, being amazingly convincing and only thinking about the pills above all.
You can see that after the intervention Kevin is trying to believe Jackie but as she slips deeper into addiction, things come apart.

Kevin is a beautiful person. He is loving, supportive, attractive and accommodating. The series heavily focuses on Jackie's career (obviously, as the protagonist) but we see Kevin is also significant.
Kevin provides the primary, stable, consistent caregiver role to Grace and Fi. He is consistently there for any panic attack, appointment or sports day. Jackie takes advantage of his generosity, consistently minimising and manipulating him.
Eventually, after discovering about Eddie, the lies turn to bitterness for Kevin. We already see that Kevin can become very angry and struggle with interpersonal conflict - as we see during the holiday where he walks off from his family in the car.
Unfortunately as Kevin's life unravels, he becomes more aggressive and hostile. Because Kevin is such a good father, we see that he starts to unconsciously plan to leave Jackie late in season 2.
He starts by paying for Fiona to go to the same private school as Grace, as well as changing both girls files to state he is the only emergency contact.
